There was a short window of time with dry roads, before new snow. So I took the opportunity and rode the Fenix outside.
Wind and wetness worried me more than the temperature (+2°C) and the occasional crunchy patch of icy snow.
With the lobster-like skiing(?) gloves I didn't feel any cold in my fingers. I've driven in a -6 weather with these, and the cold does eventually get through after 15-20 minutes.
I felt the ice and packed-snow areas are driveable, but they also have thickness and hitting the snow sheets in a wrong angle could result in a wobble.
